Can everything be private?

Yes, of course. We specialize in private and personalized arrangements and can work with you create your trip of a lifetime.
*Please note there are some experiences, such as sumo tournaments, which cannot be private.

Do you charge for quotes?

Yes, we require a USD 500 planning deposit for quotes. This fee is non-refundable, but will be applied toward your trip should you book with us.

I’ve heard Japan is inflexible for dietary restrictions. Is this true?

Yes and no. Japan used to be quite inflexible, but lately many ryokans (inns) and restaurants are willing to accommodate different dietary lifestyles. Please let us know as early as possible about any allergies or restrictions and we’ll work with our partners to make sure you have a safe (and delicious!) eating experience.

Is Japan expensive? What is the average cost of your trips?

A full service, hassle free trip to Japan, with all accommodations included, typically falls in the $1,000 to $2,000 per person, per day price range. A main component of this is the hotel room – the nicer the room, the higher the cost.

Should I have health insurance and trip insurance for my trip to Japan?

The Japanese health care system is remarkably cost effective. Many doctors visits can easily be paid out of pocket. However, sometimes things do not go as planned, and we recommend you have health insurance for the duration of the trip to help cover the cost of these incidents.

We also highly recommend trip insurance in the event that you need to make any significant changes/cancellations to your trip.

What credit cards do you take? Why do you charge a fee?

We take MC, VISA, and AMEX. We charge a 2% fee to partially cover the fee that we are charged for processing. This fee can be avoided by paying by bank transfer.

What is the planning and booking process?

Upon receipt of your inquiry from our website, a member of our team with contact you and set up a phone consultation. During our call, we’ll listen to your dream trip ideas and then decide if we’re a good fit to help you out. This call is 100% free of charge.

If we’re a good fit, we will create a fully customized itinerary for you.

While it is possible the first itinerary will be perfect, we’ve found that there could be numerous revisions until we get everything just right. You may be anxious to see your final trip contents during this phase, but be patient! Learning about all the amazing options and possibilities we can do during your trip is part of the fun.

After the itinerary is just right, we require a 30% deposit to confirm all bookings. In the event that something is not available, we will let you know immediately and propose alternatives. However, since we are constantly checking availability on many items, we’ll do our best to resolve these during the planning process.

Two weeks prior to your arrival in Japan we will require a final balance payment.

You may change your itinerary at any time during the planning process, but please be aware that changes after final payment are subject to additional fees and availability.

Once you arrive in Japan you’ll receive a welcome package which contains any tickets you may need. You’ll also have a dedicated member of our team to help you out during your journey via What’s App (or your preferred messaging platform).

What weather can I expect during my trip?

Japan is a large country with a varying climate. In general, you can expect pleasant weather during the spring and fall, extremely hot and humid weather during the summer, and, for the most part, mild, cool weather for the winter. Each destination in Japan is quite unique, and we’ll let you know exactly what to expect based on your itinerary.
